As the CEO and Co-Founder of TripActions, Ariel is focused on the company’s growth. This is Ariel’s second company he founded with Co-founder and CTO Ilan Twig –– the most recent being StreamOnce, a business multimedia integration platform which was acquired by Jive Software. Prior to StreamOnce, Ariel led Product Management in a senior leadership role at Hewlett-Packard. Ariel earned an EMBA from Northwestern University –– Kellogg School of Management.
As Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of TripActions, Ilan Twig oversees the company’s product development and engineering teams. This is the second company Ilan founded with CEO and Co-founder Ariel Cohen — the most recent being StreamOnce, a business multimedia integration platform that was acquired by Jive Software. With almost two decades of experience in engineering, Ilan led large research and development teams at both Hewlett Packard Software and Rockmelt. Ilan earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the Academic College of Tel-Aviv, Yaffo.
As CRO, Carlos Deltorre oversees global sales at TripActions. Carlos has nearly 25 years of experience leading global, high performance sales, customer success, professional services, and operations organizations to scale hyper-growth tech companies. Prior to TripActions, Delatorre served as CEO at Vera Security, Chief Revenue Officer at MongoDB, SVP of Sales at Clearslide, SVP of Worldwide Sales at DynamicOps, and AVP of Sales at BMC Software, among other roles. He earned his undergraduate degrees at the University of Miami and Troy State University, and his MBA from Troy State University. Carlos lives in the Bay Area with his wife, son, daughter and two dogs.
As CFO, Thomas Tuchscherer oversees all financial planning and analysis, accounting, tax, treasury, investor relations, corporate development and facilities for TripActions. Thomas has a long history and proven track record leading high performance teams to rapidly scale organizations through hyper growth. Prior to TripActions, Thomas served as CFO at Snowflake, CFO & VP of Corporate Development at Talend, in various leadership roles over product, strategy, operations and planning at SAP, and as VP of Corporate Development at Cartesis. He also worked at several investment companies earlier in his career, one that spans more than twenty years in roles in North America, Europe, and Asia. Thomas earned his MBA from ESSEC and his Bachelor of Arts in Economics at McGill University. Thomas, his wife, and their three boys reside in Los Altos Hills, California.
Meagen Eisenberg is the CMO of TripActions, the leading cloud-based corporate travel and expense management platform. Prior to TripActions, she spent more than 20 years in high-tech and previously served as CMO of MongoDB (NASDAQ: MDB) and VP of Demand Generation at DocuSign (NASDAQ: DOCU). She serves on the boards of G2, TinyPulse and Reactful, and has advised more than 25 tech companies, including ten which were acquired over the last three years. Meagen has an MBA from Yale School of Management, and a Bachelor of Science degree in MIS and a minor in CSC from Cal Poly – San Luis Obispo.
Fred joined Reed & Mackay in 2012, coming full circle and returning to travel after beginning his career at Thomson Holidays. A Chartered Accountant by trade and having spent time as the CEO of a private equity-backed Business Services Group, Fred leads with a strong commercial focus, extensive experience of international growth and a passion for service at every touch point. In Fred’s time at Reed & Mackay he has steered the business from being a best in class UK TMC to a true international player with wholly owned offices and technology across the globe.
As Chief Customer Officer for TripActions, Ciara Govern is responsible for scaling and growing the business in the EMEA region, and its customer support team globally. Prior to TripActions, Ciara led Customer Service for Netflix in EMEA. Prior to Netflix, she was the Global Head of Customer Experience GTS Service & Operations for the Royal Bank of Scotland and has over 13 years experience in financial services holding senior management roles in Dubai, London, Amsterdam and India. Ciara is based in TripActions’ EMEA HQ in Amsterdam. She has a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree from the Waterford Institute of Technology.
As TripActions' General Counsel, Sai Jahann is responsible for the company's global legal needs, leading the in-house legal team and managing outside counsel. Sai began her legal career at Morrison & Foerster LLP, where she focused on antitrust and unfair competition matters in the firm's Washington, DC and San Francisco offices. Prior to joining TripActions, Sai spent several years in-house at other values-driven technology companies in the Bay Area: she served as Managing Counsel for Collective Health and as Senior Counsel, Commercial & Product for Sunrun. Sai holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University and a J.D. from Stanford University Law School.
As Chief Product and Operations Officer at TripActions, Nina Herold oversees the company’s customer-driven product development, operations strategies and initiatives. Prior to TripActions, Nina held leadership roles in Product Operations and Logistics at Uber, where she spent nearly four years scaling operations and working closely with product and engineering to launch driver-facing products and services globally. Prior to Uber, Nina worked in finance for the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Finance and Information Systems from Duquesne University.
Shaka Senghor is the President of Shaka Senghor, Inc. His memoir, Writing My Wrongs: Life, Death and Redemption in an American Prison, debuted on The New York Times and The Washington Post Best Seller Lists. Shaka is a former MIT Media Lab Director’s Fellow and a former Fellow in the inaugural class of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation’s Community Leadership Network. His 2014 TED Talk was featured in their “Year in Ideas” roundup and has over 1.6 million views. Shaka is the recipient of numerous awards, including the 2012 Black Male Engagement (BMe) Leadership Award, the 2015 Manchester University Innovator of the Year Award, the 2016 FORD Man of Courage Award, and the 2016 NAACP Great Expectations Award. He was recently recognized by OWN (the Oprah Winfrey Network) as a “Soul Igniter” in the inaugural class of the SuperSoul 100. He has taught at the University of Michigan and shares his story of redemption around the world. Today, Shaka’s priority is shifting societal narratives through storytelling and developing workshops with high entertainment value and deep social impact. Transcending industries, Shaka Senghor, builds and executes global strategies, develops thought focused leadership and cultural campaigns as a consultant for businesses and non-profit organizations internationally.
Daniel Finkel is the Chief Travel Officer leading all TMC and travel-related activities and functions at TripActions, including supply, global expansion, the product & operational components of inventory and TMC services, such as consulting, VIP and M&E. While supporting TripActions as the #1 global TMC, Daniel is responsible for building and maintaining the company’s partner strategy and relationships while working closely with internal teams to ensure TripActions offers the best shopping and booking experience for travelers. Daniel holds a BA with Honors from Brown University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
As General Manager of TripActions Liquid, Michael is obsessed with creating the world's best travel payments platform while overseeing various aspects of the business including go-to-market strategy, product development, engineering, and operations. Prior to TripActions Liquid, Michael spent the last 4 years building and leading sales teams within TripActions, most recently as VP of Enterprise Sales. Prior, Michael led sales teams at Apptimize (acquired by Airship) and was Co-Founder of financial brokerage, Hurley Brothers. Michael earned his Bachelor of Science degrees in psychology and biology with honors from UCLA.
Ofer Ben-David is the Senior Vice President of Engineering. Ofer oversees the global engineering and software development functions, responsible for driving innovation and growth of the TripActions platform. Ofer’s experience spans nearly twenty years, and includes full lifecycle product development, product Management, engineering and global operations for large scale cloud enterprise software solutions. Prior to TripActions, Ofer was the Chief Product Officer of Tenable, where he led the overall product and engineering organization. Prior to Tenable, Ofer was the Head of Technology at Elementum, The EVP of Products and Engineering at Jive Software and VP of Central Engineering at VMware, where he led a 1,000+ person global organization. Ofer holds an M.B.A. from Heriot-Watt University and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Bar-Ilan University.
Ben Horowitz is a cofounder and general partner at the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz and The New York Times bestselling author of The Hard Thing About Hard Things, which is now available in 19 languages. He also created the Andreessen Horowitz Cultural Leadership Fund, which aims to connect the greatest cultural leaders in the world to the best new technology companies, and enable more young African Americans to enter the technology industry.
Prior to a16z, Ben was cofounder and CEO of Opsware (formerly Loudcloud), which was acquired by Hewlett-Packard for $1.6 billion in 2007, and was appointed vice president and general manager of Business Technology Optimization for Software at HP. Earlier, he was vice president and general manager of America Online’s E-commerce Platform division, where he oversaw development of the company’s flagship Shop@AOL service. Previously, Ben ran several product divisions at Netscape Communications. He also served as vice president of Netscape’s widely acclaimed Directory and Security product line. Before joining Netscape in July 1995, he held various senior product marketing positions at Lotus Development Corporation.
Ben has an MS in Computer Science from UCLA and a BA in Computer Science from Columbia University. He serves on numerous boards, including Databricks, Genius, Lyft, NationBuilder, Okta, SignalFx, Tanium, and CODE2040.
Arif joined Lightspeed in 2008 and focuses primarily on investments in the areas of cloud, infrastructure, AI, and data driven SaaS applications.
Prior to joining Lightspeed, he worked in the Corporate Business Development Group at Cisco Systems where he focused on mergers and acquisitions, strategy, and investments in the Unified Communications, Enterprise Collaboration, Mobile, and SaaS market segments. Before joining Cisco Systems, Arif was with Novitas Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm. Earlier in his career, Arif worked in technical development and product management roles at WebTV (acquired by MSFT), Andes Networks (acquired by SUNW), and Sun Microsystems.
Arif holds an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and a BSc in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Canada.
In his free time, Arif plays ice hockey with his wife, who yells at him for never passing the puck to her.
Oren Zeev is the Founder of Zeev Ventures (www.zeev-ventures.com), a One Man Venture Capital firm. He serves as a board member at Houzz, HomeLight, Tipalti, TripActions, Next Insurance, Domestika, among others. Oren is a former board member of Audible (went public and then acquired by AMZN) and of Chegg, (NYSE: CHGG) where he was the main investor and one of the two main early backers respectively. Prior to that, he was a general partner at Apax Partners from 1995 to 2007.
Maggie Wilderotter is a seasoned executive who as CEO has led both Fortune 500 companies and start-ups in her career, including Frontier Communications, which she led for 11 years. In addition, she has extensive Board leadership, serving on more than 35 public companies and 14 private company Boards of Directors.
Today, Maggie serves on the public boards of Costco Wholesale Corporation, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Lyft, and is Board Chair at DocuSign. She serves on the private board of Tanium as well as a number of non-profit organizations. Maggie is also a Senior Advisor to the Blackstone Group, Okta, Atairos Private Equity and Sixth Street Partners.
David George is a general partner at Andreessen Horowitz where he focuses on growth investing.
Prior to joining a16z, David spent seven years at General Atlantic where he led and partnered on numerous consumer internet and enterprise software growth deals. Previously, he was an investment associate at FFL Partners and an investment banking analyst for William Blair & Company.
David graduated summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame and earned his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is currently on the Advisory Council of the IDEA Center at the University of Notre Dame.
David led many of the firm’s growth investments, and serves on the boards of Current, Greenlight, and Workrise.
Lee Fixel is the founder of Addition, an investment firm focused on early and growth stage companies. Fixel was previously a Partner at Tiger Global Management, LLC, where he was head of the firm’s private equity business. He has backed companies including Peloton, Stripe, Spotify, Roblox, Flipkart, Freshworks, Warby Parker, MercadoLibre, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Fixel earned a B.S. in business administration, finance and accounting from Washington University in St. Louis and is a CFA charterholder. He serves on the board of trustees of his alma mater and is a director of the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Fixel was raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and lives in New York City with his wife and two children.
Adam Bain is the co-founder and managing partner at 01Advisors, a venture firm targeting companies who have found product-market fit and are looking for operating expertise as they scale. He also serves on the Board of Directors at Opendoor (NASDAQ: OPEN) and Virgin Galactic (NYSE: SPCE).
Adam is the former Chief Operating Officer of Twitter, where he was responsible for the company’s business lines, including the go-to-market, product and operations teams for the advertising and data businesses. Previously, Adam was the President of the Fox Audience Network at News Corp and ran Product teams at Fox Sports and The Los Angeles Times.
In 2012, Adam ranked #1 in Ad Week’s annual listing of the top 50 indispensable talent. In 2013, Adam was inducted into The American Advertising Federation Hall of Achievement. In 2015, Adam was named one of the 30 United Nations Women “He for She” Impact Champions to help advance gender equality.
Dovi Frances is a financial services entrepreneur and founding partner of Group 11 (f.k.a. SGVC), a FinTech focused venture capital firm based in Los Angeles, California. Over the course of his career, Dovi has invested in some of Silicon Valley’s most prominent and disruptive financial technology companies, including SoFi, Addepar, Tipalti, TripActions, HomeLight, SunBit, Reali and Next Insurance. Dovi currently serves as Director on the Boards of Tipalti, SunBit, HomeLight, Reali, Lili Bank and Covercy. He is also an Advisor to Addepar, TripActions and is a member of the Advisory Council of Leumi Bank U.S.
